Gading Kencana Sdn. Bhd. is a pioneer of Malaysia’s Solar Photovoltaic (PV) industry, established in 1993 by Dato’ Ir. Muhamad Guntor Mansor Tobeng. From its origins as an electrical works contractor, the company has grown into one of Malaysia’s leading renewable energy service providers, with a four-star CIDB contractor rating.

Gading Kencana is the first Malaysian solar PV company to achieve ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety) certifications. Its services span large-scale solar farm development, rooftop solar PV systems, mini-hydro power plants, energy audits, and EV charging infrastructure.

Among its flagship achievements, the company has successfully commissioned a 100MWp Solar Farm and delivered a 2.79MWp / 2.34MWac rooftop solar PV installation at Kompleks Operasi Petronas 2 (KOP2) in Kerteh, Terengganu demonstrating its capability to execute high-specification projects for major energy sector clients.
