Datuk Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim

Datuk Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim is the Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), where he began his career in August 1996. Over the years, he has held key roles, including Executive Director of Manufacturing Development and Investment Promotion, and Senior Executive Director of Investment Policy Advocacy.

With a strong background in policy advocacy, investment evaluation, promotion, and industrial development, he has served both at MIDA Headquarters and overseas in the US, Japan, and Singapore. His leadership has driven significant growth in sectors such as electronics, machinery, transportation, and building technologies.

Datuk Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim holds a BA in Economics, specialising in Analytical Economics, from the University of Malaya. His expertise in economic strategy continues to shape Malaysia’s investment landscape. Outside work, he enjoys reading, golf, and playing the guitar, interests that reflect his dynamic and well-rounded personality. His visionary leadership continues to energise MIDA and advance national investment goals.
