Encik V. Jaya Kumaran

Encik Jaya Kumaran has more than 20 years of experience in the Malaysian civil service, with a background in economic policy coordination, international engagement and public-sector administration. He currently serves at the Ministry of Finance and has previously held various positions at the Economic Planning Unit and the National Housing Department.

His previous appointments include Advisor to the Executive Director at the Asian Development Bank in Manila, Philippines and Deputy Director at the National Economic Implementation and Strategic Coordination Agency (LAKSANA). He has also been involved in matters relating to international financial institutions including the World Bank Group, the Islamic Development Bank and the Asian Development Bank.

Encik Jaya holds a Master of Science in International Development from the University of Nottingham and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Universiti Putra Malaysia.
